Windows 10: StarDoc Start8

I'm planning to upgrade from W8.1 to W10 soon.

When I still used W8.0, I installed Start8 in order to get a more friendly user-interface. When I upgraded to W8.1 I kept Start8. When I'm eventually running W10 I obviously wont need Start8 anymore.

Should I uninstall Start8 before the upgrade to W10 or will it be uninstalled automatically during the upgrade?

I had the same issue and solved it by uninstalling the now defunct start8 application. After installing Windows 10 I only disabled the start8 function, it must have interfered with it.

Start8 doesn't work in Windows 10. You need Start10.

 

So, why should one keep it? Are you saying the Start8 interface is better than the native W10 one? Reasons?

 

I use classic shell which is pretty much the same, yes it is much better, more customizable plus you can still use the new start menu

 

I think there is a Start 10 out now.
