STARFIELD turns on and RUNS IN STEAM for a few minutes but NO window ever pops up.upgraded from 2060 super to new 4070, 32g RAM, ryzen 7 5800x3d, OTHER GAMES RUN FINE, hogwarts, cyberpunk, fortniteUpdated drivers, windows 10. verified files, cleared cache and reinstalled game on brand new SSD.Reinstalled steam on separate SSD, performed clean install of gpu drivers...I ran CHKDISK until no errors showed.Ran SFC Scan and also ran memory diagnostic with no errors. 2. Starfield Running in Steam +task manager for a few minutes but No Window ever pops up. Works on new User. Issue after upgrading to 4070 GPU

STARFIELD turns on and RUNS IN STEAM for a few minutes but NO window ever pops up.
upgraded from 2060 super to new 4070, 32g RAM, ryzen 7 5800x3d, OTHER GAMES RUN FINE, (hogwarts, cyberpunk, fortnite)

Updated drivers, windows 10. verified files, cleared cache and reinstalled game on brand new SSD.
Reinstalled steam on separate SSD, performed clean install of gpu drivers...
I ran CHKDISK until no errors showed.
Ran SFC Scan and also ran memory diagnostic with no errors.

The ONLY thing that got it to run was creating a new windows user which is NOT an ideal fix.

    Quoting Gabriel from Bethesda Support:

"Since you were able to launch the game on a fresh Windows user account without issue, this generally indicates an underlying issue with the existing user account. As such you will need to get in contact with Microsoft customer support to fully resolve it. You can continue to play on the new user account as a temporary measure."

So I am here now, begging for help.

Xbox One controller is navigating Windows 10 without Steam or any 3rd party apps running...

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Please confirm a few things for me.

    1. Is this issue occurring with ‘Steam’ being installed on your system?
    2. Have you checked if the controller still works on your Windows when ‘Steam’ is not running in the background?

Please check with the following methods.

    Method 1:

Stop the process for steam in task manager and check with this.

You can stop ‘Steam’ running in the background by following the steps below:

    1. Press ‘Ctrl’, ‘Shift’ and ‘Esc’. This will launch the ‘Task Manager’.
    2. Click on the ‘Details’ tab, you should be able to locate the ‘steam.exe’ process if ‘Steam’ is running in the background.
    3. Right-click on it and select ‘End process tree’ to stop the ‘Steam’ running in the background.
    4. Check if the controller is still working on the Desktop.

    Method 2:

I would suggest you to check the settings in the Steam application. You may follow the steps below:

    1. Launch the ‘Steam’ application, click on ‘Settings’.
    2. You should be able to locate the ‘Controller’ option under ‘Settings’.
    3. Under ‘Controller Configuration’, click on the ‘Desktop Configuration’. Please confirm the settings there.

    Hope it helps.

Starfield Running in Steam +task manager for a few minutes but No Window ever pops up....

    Task Manager not running

I have added a new task to the ones already populated which I suppose were in Win7
The new task or the present tasks are not running as there is no entry in the history or
    recently run file
are there other steps necessary to get the new task manager to start up ?
