Windows 10: Start button and teams not working

Hi


Im working on windows 10 pro on a company pc. Everything was fine and suddenly everything stoped working. My start button does nothing if I left click on it but it responds if I right click. In the system settings, any search box wont let my type in it.


The teams app starts up fine, I type in the email address and select next. At the password it wont let me type. It used to wotk if I close the app and it says "something has gone wrong, restart". It will allow me to type once it starts up again. Last week that stopped working also.


I then tried to uninstall and something went wrong. Now there is no more Teams in add and remove programs but the app is still on the pc. Our IT department is 2 weeks behind on work so I can not expect any help from them.


Can anyone please assist me?

Start Button displaying but not working


The start button was working until there was a forced reboot (power failure). Then left click (normal click) over the start button does absolutely nothing. Right click brings up a menu but "programs" and also "settings" are missing and not included on this list. Search or Task View buttons do not work either with "normal" click. Does anyone have any suggestion or fixes?

Hi,

With regard to your concern, you can add a new team on Cortana by following the steps below:

• Click Cortana or the circle icon.
• Click the Notebook icon, scroll down and click Sports.
• Click Add a team and start typing the name of a team.
• Select the results.

Note: If the the team does not show up in the list you cannot add it to the Notebook. We suggest that you send a feedback using Windows Feedback hub so we can take note of this feature for future updates.
