Windows 10: Start Button Quit Working

    Start Button Quit Working


    The start button on one of my profiles recently stopped working. The search functions as well, both the search bar in the taskbar and in File Explorer. The other profile is fine. I've tried everything I could find: Logging out/in to my account, Restarting Windows Explorer; Windows Updates; Scanning for corrupt files command Prompt window; Uninstall Dropbox; Xami Start Menu Registry Entry. There was another solution that seemed to work for a couple of people, which had me renaming a folder, which also did not work.Any thoughts?CIAO!Ed N.

    Start Button displaying but not working


    The start button was working until there was a forced reboot (power failure). Then left click (normal click) over the start button does absolutely nothing. Right click brings up a menu but "programs" and also "settings" are missing and not included on this list. Search or Task View buttons do not work either with "normal" click. Does anyone have any suggestion or fixes?

    I changed acc and now the start button works again!!!! *Redface
