Windows 10: Start button,taskbar,settings and any deafult apps are not working

In my pc start button , taskbar and any deafult apps are not working. whenever i tried to open settings or any default apps it says " this file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action.Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default apps settings page".I can just open run with keyboard. also tried to update windows but it is not happening.I can't use any apps or settings from start . I use keyboard for shutdown . Other wise i can't do anything. Even i can not use keyboard shourtcuts .

From few past weeks my start button,taskbar,settings and default apps are not working.i tried many ways but it still does't work.tell me any way how to fix it

I did as suggested but didn't get to Troubleshoot or Reset computer. When it started back up with taskbar was complete and start button working. Everything seems ok, but slower. So thanks for that. Can you tell me about creating restore point manually and creating system image backup ?
