Windows 10: Start folder name in Windows 10 Home

Many times I hear about the "start folder". But when I looked for it in my new computer I cannot find it. Does it have a different name?

Microsoft account and default users' folder name

This issue may be related to Microsoft account and not just Windows 10:

During Windows 10 installation, when a user is created with a Microsoft account, the home folder name is defaulted to a certain value.

How one can change that folder name to different value, on Microsft Account, before installation?

Export photos

Select all the pictures in the folder. You can do this by pressing Ctrl + A or Click the Home tab > Select All (Windows 8/8.1/10),

Open your thumb drive then create a new folder and call it backup or a unique name. Open it then press Ctrl + V or Click Home tab > Paste (Windows 8/8.1/10),

Depending on the amount of data, this can take a while.

 

If no items are in there, it might not have been created, copy/paste to Run:

%LocalAppData%\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\
%SystemDrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\

 

I did that and got the attached error.

You should see a Startup or Start-up folder here:

%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\

This is visible in the conventional way using Classic Shell (free) - offering a very good traditional and configurable start menu.
