    Start Menu and Searchbar are suddenly frozen with no way to get them back to work.

    HiI am currently facing an issue on some of my clients' PCs where the Start Menu won't open when clicking it, same goes for the Searchbar both in Start Menu and File Explorer App. On some clients the Photos App stops working as well, if you try to open an image file the app will just close right away. Thus far the only solution i have found to work is creating a new user profile, which is time consuming but absolutely fine if that solves the problem... Until it happens again. Is there a way to solve this issue permanently?

    :)

  3. Start Menu suddenly not working

    My Start Menu, Edge browser and Action Centre have suddenly stopped working. If I click on the Start Menu I get a “ Critical Error” asking me to signout and sign back in.

    I’ve tried various Powershell solutions which didnt work. Even found the Start Menu Troubleshooter tool and that also did not rectify the fault.

    I’m on Windows 10 with latest update.

    Anyone able to suggest anything? Thanks.

    Start menu not working

    I found the following article, ran the suggested powershell command and my start menu is working again. Here it is as I found it:
    Go to Start menu button and right click on it. This will open the contextual menu, after which you need to select Command Prompt (Admin). Once Command Prompt is open, go ahead with the following steps.

    • Type and enter: Powershell
    • Type the following: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

    Any way to get back to the colored tiles start menu?: Don't get me wrong, i love the look of the new transluscent start menu style, but I liked the colorful style from before the update better, and I also used TileIconifier for some tiles, so my start menu was truly beautiful imo. Now with the transluscent tiles, it all has gone...
