Where is snipping tool in Microsoft 365?

The Snipping Tool is part of Windows (introduced with Windows 7). It has nothing to do with Office 365 or any other edition of Microsoft Office.

You can access the Snipping Tool most quickly by clicking Start, typing Snipping Tool (or simply Snipping) into the Search box, and pressing Enter.

Or you can click Start, click All Programs, scroll down to and click "Accessories" and find Snipping Tool there.

If you use it often, right-click on the link for Snipping Tool found by either of the above methods and select "Pin to Start Menu" or "Pin to Taskbar"

Snipping tool can take a picture of the start menu. Just use the "delay" option and set it to 2 or 3 seconds so you can start your snip, then open the menu and when the delay comes it will take the picture for you.

Or you can always skip the snipping tool entirely and just press Print-Screen on the keyboard.

Like any menu or window that closes when focus changes, you can use PrtSc (should be a key labelled that on your keyboard). This takes a screenshot of your whole screen and then you can use e.g. paint to crop it if you wish.

Two ways to get a screenshot of the Start menu.

Ctrl-PrtScr works., paste it into your favourite photo editor.

Snipping Tool works if, before you click New you first Click 'Delay', set (say) 5 seconds then click 'New'. You now have about 5 seconds to open the Start menu before the 'snip' takes place.
