Windows 10: Start menu and windows apps not working.

Start menu doesn't start by keyboard OR by mouse. Microsoft store icon in taskbar is empty, on starting says "Class not registered" for explorer.exe. Some shortcuts like Win+D or Win+I also not workingWin+E works. I tried to restart explorer through task manager and command prompt. The "Show Desktop" button in taskbar also not working. I can't check for updates since I cannot open the settings appStart Menu not working and the security option in system tray also doesn't start. I ran a scan in MalwareBytes and cleared the threats, no effect.Edit: I used update assistant and updated the OS,

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to follow below steps and check.

Step 1: I suggest you to install all the latest pending Windows updates as below and check if it helps.

• Go to “settings” and click on “update and security”.
• Under tab “Windows update”, click on the icon “check for updates”.
• Then once you find the pending updates install it and check.

Step 2: I suggest you to run the app troubleshooter from the below article and check if it helps.
