Windows 10: Start Menu Fullscreen color is grey

I updated my PC overnight and woke up to my start menu being greyI restarted, still grey. I Changed between light and dark themes then applied my color again, still greyDark is too dark and light is too light both are equally hard on my eyes which is the whole reason I used colors in the first place.

The small mini start menu comes up the right color but my full screen start menu is stuck grey. Does anyone know how to fix this? Its supposed to be pink like my bar at the bottom. It was fine before the update.

(Also Please excuse the mess im not the most organised)

My windows version is 19042.804

Start Menu background color customize

Thanks for the reply.

These procedures not helped to change the background color of the start menu by (right click)





I want to change the black color to grey color as previous.

Please help.

Also previously right click will show the control panel, system, device manager etc. now it is not showing.

Hi,

You can change the background color of the the Start menu on Settings. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Click the Windows logo (Start button).
• Click the gear icon (Settings).
• Choose Personalization.
• Select Colors.
• Under Show color on Start, taskbar, and action center, switch the slider to
  On.
• After switching the slider to On, you can now pick what color you want or you can click the
  Automatically pick an accent color from my background checkbox to make Windows pick the color that complements the color of your desktop background.

I understand that the colors look grey on your computer. I would suggest you to check the color filters in Settings and see if that helps. Kindly, refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + U, to open
   Ease of Access Settings.
   
2. Now, select Color filters from the left pane.
   
3. Under Use color filters, toggle the switch to
   off for Turn on color filters.
   
4. Clear the check box for Allow the shortcut key to toggle filter on or off.
