Windows 10: Start Menu, Search Bar, WhatsApp, and Settings Not Opening After Windows Update

Since updating Windows yesterday, I have encountered the following issues:The Start Menu does not open when I click on it.The Windows search bar is unresponsive. I cannot open the Settings app, even using keyboard shortcuts Windows + I.Certain applications, such as WhatsApp, won't open, but others like Google Chrome work fine.I have already tried restarting my system, but the issue persists. Could this be related to the recent Windows update? How can I fix these problems without access to Settings?

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.

Step 2: I suggest you to try to start Windows Search services
and check if it helps.

1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

2. Type "services.msc" without the quotes and click on it.

3. Search for Windows Search.

4. Double click on it and under Startup type, select
Automatic.

5. Then click on Start button.


Note: If you are not able to change the Startup type, then continue starting the service by clicking on Start button.
