Windows 10: Start menu search has completely stopped working after recent update

As I said, trying to search using the start menu no longer works at all, trying to search for anything now shows the following: After a second it turns black like so and disappears:

I followed the above step, did not work for me. Searching in start menu is very slow. Please suggest appropriate solution.
