  3. TROUBLE WITH START MENU

    Hi Omotoyosi,

This is possibly caused by a corrupted operating system installed on your phone. For us to isolate this concern, please answer the following questions:

    • Which phone model and version of Windows are you using?
    • When did the issue start?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

We're looking forward to your reply.

    Regards.

  4. Start Menu Trouble

Start won't start in 10.0.10130 on my machine.
    Workaroud: Settings>Personalize>Start
toggle all switches one at a time and try to launch the menu

It seems to be related to the 2nd option Store and display recently opened programs in start[/I but the full screen start option also sometimes wakes up Start.

I just throw all of the switches and try, then throw the switches back the other way and try. Eventually Start starts *Wink

You can get to Settings through the Actions and Notifications panel (All Settings 'tile')

  6. Glad it helped.

It's a workaround. When I locked my system, and signed back in, the issue came back. It seems to be a window focus or timing issue, but after a while (hours), it settles down. The icons still change position and size, but I've only had to flip the Start switches once in about 12 hours.

At least you know how to get around this 'feature' *Wink

  8. Start Menu Trouble

It might take a few attempts, toggle them on, check Start, toggle them off, check Start.

That's the only thing that works on this machine. If I see any other solution, I'll post back here.

  10. That's what I do ... the good news is that it seems to eventually settle down after you have the menu as you want it. New programs or Pinning an item to Start might require a bit more bashing *Wink
