  1. Start Menu: We can't drag any documents on to it???

I just realize something utterly bizarre about Win10. I can't drag any documents or shortcuts to those documents to the Start Menu. I can drag shortcuts to Folders and Programs just fine. Worked like a breeze in Win7 well sort of - what REALLY worked was XP's Start Menu where you could have expanding and collapsing folders.

    :)

  2. Problem pinning apps to the start menu

Not sure if this will help.

To add an item to the Start list, simply drag it into the Start list area. You can do this from within the Start menu of course, but you can also drag an item from the desktop or a File Explorer window: Just drag it onto the Start button first, and after the Start menu has opened you can drag it from there into the Start list.

What can you add to the Start list? Virtually anything. Documents and other files. Any folder. Desktop application, Modern app, or web app shortcuts.

You can also reorder the items in the Start list using drag-and-drop.

Start Menu: We can't drag any documents on to it???

( Still ) Can't resize Start Menu by dragging

I did a fresh install of Windows 10 on a new computer.

I then resized the Start Menu by dragging it vertically and horizontally. Worked.

Then, Windows prompted for a restart due to new updates. Did that.

Now, I cannot resize the Start Menu by dragging. Nothing happens.

I can't make it smaller. I can't make it bigger. Nothing.

Tried a suggestion of holding the Windows key and using the arrow keys. Nothing.

    How do I do it?
