Windows 10: Start menu: white blank background saying "2025.03.26.54900027.US.en-US"

As is shown in the screenshot:* When typing something to search, only a white, blank background plus "2025.03.26.54900027.US.en-US" is shown.* Continuing typing does not make search results appear.* Re-opening the start menu may be able to fix this issue, but the issue might happen again intermittently.Have you seen this happen and how do you fix it?Thankx!

when i push the win button and type to search for an app or anything i get this result.


i have restarted explorer.exe and completed these steps here: Cortana not finding Desktop apps when searching for them - Microsoft Community


but still nothing,

problem on a few menus - white text on white background

G'day all.

I have two instances of having white text on white backgrounds. I use start10 by Stardock, and on its menus, items currently highlighted are showing white text on a white background. Other (non-highlighted) items display correctly.

I also noticed this same thing when Cortana displays something like my shopping list. If i ask her to display my shopping list, she does, and i can see the checkboxes, but the actual text of the list is not visible.

I sense this has something to do with system level font/color settings, but I can't find where this is controlled in Win10.

 

Windows Start Menu and Background blanking out after idling


This is difficult to verbally explain, but here is some background context:

• I leave my computer idling over night in order to charge my phone, and I leave it idling when I go to class so I can virtually access it on my laptop
• Whenever I go to bed (~12:00am) and get back from class (~3:00pm) [no using my computer in between], it looks like this when I turn my monitor back on [NOTE: the error message is just from me unplugging my phone and iTunes complaining - I can assure that it is totally irrelevant from my problem]:

  Any ideas as to what might be causing this? I am able to blindly click anywhere on the start menu and things still open, but I would prefer to fix this. Everything resets to normal once I restart.

1. My background goes through a 20 degree hue change every 10 seconds based off of 18 degree intervals (total of 360 degrees, it's quite pretty to watch) so that explains the color differences in the start menus
