Windows 10: Start sync link is now no longer highlighted in WMP

In my Windows 10 WMP, my Start sync link is no longer highlighted when I have my phone connected to my personal computer. I'm trying to download songs from my computer into my phone, which I have done dozens of time, but now the Start sync link won't highlight so that I can click it. So, does anyone know what may be causing this and/or what the solution would be to fixing it?

  Are you not able to highlight the text or link by dragging the left click of the mouse?
  
• 
  Do you get options when you left click on the link or sentence?
  

I suggest you to drag over the sentence or link by holding the left button of the mouse and check if the issue is resolved. Right click on the mouse to show a list of options to do with the highlighted sentence or link.

WMP no longer plays internet videos.

When watching videos (such as on streetfire.net), both Flash Player and WMP are available to play videos. I much prefer WMP because it has better sound quality and can go full screen. However, my friend's WMP won't work to play videos on there anymore. Now neither will mine. It's not just that site either, that's just the site I most want to watch videos on lol. Any ideas/suggestions?

 

WMP Problem

It should be there. Let's try again, step by step.

First, find out what version of Windows you have. Use the Winkey + R to bring up the 'Run' box, type Winver then click OK. You should see a version number, 1511, 1607 or 1703.

If you have 1703, open Settings > Apps. For any other version open Settings > System.

Click on Default in the list to the left (in 1703 it's called Default apps).

Scroll down the list to find 'Video player'. This will probably say the default is 'Films & TV'. Whatever it says, click on it to bring up a list of possible apps to set as the default. You should see something like this with Windows Media Player in the 'Choose an application' list. Click on Windows Media Player and it will become the default for all types of video.
