    Start tab, Search bars, windows defender not opening, Cant open CMD prompt Need Help!


    Clicking start tab does nothing and isnt funtioning.Clicking Cortana does nothing.I cant use the search bar in tool bar or when i open a file the search in folders doesnt work where it says "search this PC"When i try add new windows user it says "Class not registered"trying to use "trouble shoot common windows problems" in settings i get a message File system error -2144927439.I can open internet ect from toolbar.I can open files and games ect with no problems. Anyone know how to repair windows as it seems all servies it offers has just stopped working. It isnt showing any updates, it isnt

    Cortana/search bar not opening

    I'm unsure how to bring up the command prompt without the search. I do not see the CMD option in complete list and of course the search bar is what we're troubleshooting.

    .txt will open open in Command Prompt

    I don't know why but no matter what I do .txt will only open in CMD prompt and I have right click and go to open with every time which is annoying cause I use .txts a lot for noting stuff down in.

    Windows 10 Defender - How to make it default to task bar?

    Using Windows 10 and currently I am using Defender for anti virus. For whatever reason Windows Defender does not show up in the task bar unless I search for the program or right click and scan a file/folder. Is there a way to force Defender to show up in the task bar at start up?
