Windows 10: Start Up Screen Distorted

Probably not a W10 problem but I am hoping someone might be able to help.


PC: Dell Inspiron One

OS: W10 Latest updates including optional


Hard Start results in a distorted display Stretched

Soft Re-Start all's well.

Three problems reported by Computer Management giving error Code 43 Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems;

see screenshot below. I have re-installed the drivers to no avail.

screen won't turn back on and the start menu characters are distorted


I recently did a clean install of windows 10 and since then I've been having problems with it.
Sometimes after I leave my computer for a while the screen won't turn back on and one time it turned completely white while I was using it. Also, sometimes the characters in the start menu and notifications will get distorted (Screenshot attached).
I already tried doing a reset and installing only the drivers but it didn't help. Any suggestions?

 

sound distorted after windows 10 anniversary upgrade

This is where I'm at on my HP laptop with Windows 10 and the Anniversary update.

I completed step #3 "hardware and sound" but that took me to an option for "sound, speakers." There was no "properties" as step #4 suggests. I selected "sound, speakers" and then found "properties." After selecting "properties" there was no "enhancements
tab" as step #5 suggests.

Regardless, I then uninstalled the realtek audio driver. I noticed that when I did this without restarting my laptop that the sound was now tinny, but not distorted as it was previously. After restarting, the sound was again full, yet distorted.

Realtek still shows in my programs list, though it shows no memory is used.

I would suggest you to try the following steps:

• 
  Click Start icon and click Settings
  
• 
  Choose Personalization, click on Start
  
• 
  Turn on “Use start full screen”
