Windows 10: Start up

Windows 10, Dell computer.

When I turn on my computer, I get my lock screen picture, date and time (lower LH corner) internet and battery icons (lower RH corner)

Sometimes hitting enter (like computer did as new) takes me to sign in screen. Other times only a left click on mouse takes me to sign in. Other times it takes a right click. Some times the internet will connect automatically (as I HAVE selected) other times it will not. What keeps making this change? How do I stop it and get back to original condition? PS, I, as my name implies , an NOT a computer whiz! Just an average operator. Thanks in advance!

I would suggest you to try the following steps:

• 
  Click Start icon and click Settings
  
• 
  Choose Personalization, click on Start
  
• 
  Turn on “Use start full screen”
