Windows 10: Startech Superbox AL5744 does not work in Windows 10.

I have a Startech Superbox, SAT2520ER, a Silicon Image 5744, USB/eSATA external box that will work in Windows 7, any version of Linux, but not any version of Windows 10(earliest to 1903).


I connect using a HP 2000-2D37CL notebook using the USB ports and Win10 will constantly connect, disconnect and give errors such as an SRB error or NTFS cannot recognize partition errors.


On the Superbox I have two Seagate 500GB drives setup as a Raid-0 to give 1TB data.


I have tried on the notebook uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers(AMD FCH), but this doesn't do any good.


I can use Windows 7(Home and Enterprise) with it and it has no problems. I can use Linux and it gives no problems.


What the #$T%#^%# is going on with Windows 10!


I used to use this as a backup device but no more. It's useless.

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
