Windows 10: Started up American Megatrends error window and now the PC runs slow

For the first time since owning my PC I got an error window pop up on start-up. After reading some forums online I clicked on F1 setup and then just save & exit however now my PC is running incredibly slow.

Please can someone help guide me through how to fix this?

American Megatrend Mystery

Since the last updates on my Windows 10 computer, at start up the screen if filled with data and a large title American Megatrend at the top. Why is this suddenly starting to happe? I can see no need for it anyway.

 

American Megatrends warning

I receive the following message on an American Megatrends screen:

"Power supply surges detected during the previous power on. ASUS Anti-Surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply unit! Press F1 to Run SETUP"

This message does not appear following a power on cycle, but appears (sometimes) when I logon in the morning after a night in which the computer was powered on but I was not logged in. I assume I should replace the power supply. Is there any danger in continuing
to use the computer; I power the computer off and reboot it, and everything seems rosy for a day or two.

American Megatrends is your BIOS is that screen coming up when you start your PC and if so, are you unable to get into Windows?

Please take a photo of that screen and attach that to your next post, I need to see exactly what is on that screen including the red triangle . . .
