    Starting up laptop for first time and I get white screen after few steps?


    So i got a new asus vivobook 15 x512u, without ever opening it, i upgraded the RAM to 20 (removing one of the 2 4GB ones and adding a 16GB one instead) as well as added a 500GB ssd in the empty slot for it. I open the laptop and everything is going fine, i start setup and set my language, keyboard, WIFI and all, then i get to a step where i am asked to accept all terms and i go, then cortana says shes working on something and after the blue loading page is gone it opens an account page that is fully white but the cursor is working and its not lagged, but the white screen stays forever and i even tried restarting but nothing helps, i also tried to click the back button and it just takes me to the loading page then back to the white account page. How do I get past this? what is the reason of it anyway? Thanks..

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??

    Looking for help with laptop screen

    It's quite easy to replace a screen, try to find a disassembly guide for the specific model of laptop so you have a step by step indication of where to take screws out and what clips to unclip. There might be some youtube videos as well. Always make sure the replacement screen is compatible as there can be different connectors.
