Windows 10: Startup Incomplete After November Upgrade

Hi, I have an intermittent problem with startup Windows 10 x64 on a homebuilt desktop.

It manifests by the taskbar not loading, the working icon on continuously and the computer unresponsive. When in this state, I can sometimes open an application but it doesn't run. I.e. a browser might open, but there's no content. Task manager opens, but it's often blank.

This problem occurs more frequently when I switch users by logging off another user and then trying to log in under my username.

I tried startup repair and sfc /scannow but it hasn't helped.

Has anyone else seen this problem and found a way to stop it happening?

Windows 10 November Upgrade incomplete

I have the November W10 upgrade downloaded to two machines. The download appeared to go smoothly and both machines tell me that I have ver. 1511 when I type 'winver' at the command prompt.

However one machine does not show the increased number of tiles or 'I'm Cortana, Ask me anything' at the bottom right hand corner of the screen but still has the 'Search the Web and Windows' dialogue and I am sure that there may be other differences. Can
anyone throw any light on the issue. Many thanks.

Just installed th 1511 version, and checked winver

Tried for instance to set up windows hello,

but it just isn't available in the menu

I Own a Asus transformer notebook running win 10 pro
