Windows 10: Startup menu pinned apps resetting on default profile when imaging.

I need some help with an issue I've encountered after installing Windows update KB5040527 Also happens with kb5051585. Before the update, I was able to install the Windows image on various devices without problems using Microsoft's deployment and imaging tools env. ADK and Windows PE, and my pinned Startup menu apps remained consistent. However, since installing these updates, the Startup menu apps will reset to default, and reinstalls apps that I had previously uninstalled. It works on the profile I create the image with, but resets every time I create a new profile. I am using 10.1.25398

Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild

Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

Might be helpful to list what i've done I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.

 

No Fan Control menu item in ATITool 0.26

.27b3 problems with 8800GT 256MB

I tried the .27b3 and encountered some problems.

• Default profile comes up 0.00 / 0.00
• App hard locks
• Still no fan menu

In the setup menu the following items appear:

• Overclocking
• Artifact scanning
• Temperature monitoring
• Gamma control
• Startup
• 3D-detection
• Driver tweeks
• Miscellaneous

I'm running XP SP2 running NVIDIA 169.21 drivers.

The device details are displayed correctly now.

Make Photo Moto default photo app?

Sorry to know that the issue persists. I suggest you to search for it in Search and pin it to Start Menu.

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

• Go to search and type Photo Moto app. Right-click on it to pin it to Start menu.
• Go to Search. Type Settings. Click on it open.
• Click on System. Click on Default apps. Then follow the instructions from the link below to set Photo Moto as default app for Photos.
