Windows 10: Startup repair could'nt repair your pc /srttrail.txt(bootres.dll) Win10 Pro

Hello guys ,

like said in subject , my pc decided to protect me by giving this error message in a blue screen . Went in pc ( command prompt ) for srttrail.txt that said that i had a corrupt file at e:Windows/System32//SRT/SrtTrail.txt .... The corrupted file is bootres.dll .


I read somewhere that doing a sfc scannow was a good thing ... did nothing for me . Want to download Windows 10 boot for USB flash drive so i could repair my corrupted file "bootres.dll" .... but each time i read the text on how to ......i get all mixed up .


Question is : is there a knowledgeable enough person to help me with this ? Wanna d/l Microsoft boot disk on a flash drive so i can repair my pc .... is that the way to do it ?

Or is it better to reach Microsoft for help ? If so , what to do ?

Just got the 'old' System\32\Logfiles\srt\srttrail msg and a crashed Win10 laptop that will not auto repair

I know this is not a new problem, but any solution seems random.

Anyone have a list the series of system codes to put in the command prompt?

 

Windows 10 Operating System version is incompatible with Startup repair.

Same issue here! A few weeks after installing 10, blue screens.

On reboot, Repair fails.

SrtTrail. txt. shows "The operating system version is incompatible with Startup Repair".

Hard drive and memory tests all check out so it's not a hardware issue. Please help MS.

 

Startup Repair Couldn't Repair My PC


Guys please help I have a laptop and I've been having the blue screen of death recently and I don't know what's causing it. When I try to use automatic repair on advance options to fix the problem it gives me an error that startup repair couldn't repair my pc and I don't know if windows system restore can help me considering that I'm already having this issue even before I made a restore point and sfc /scannow now says it does not found any integrity violations on windows resource protection. I don't want to reformat and lose all my files and programs so please do not suggest that. The only thing that I know can cause this to my laptop could be a corrupted windows update but I don't know which one because all my programs right now on my laptop are the same on my previous laptop and none of them are causing any blue screen on my older laptop so it can't be my 3rd party programs right.? If you can help me please let me know step by step what I need to do because I'm not good with tech stuff.
