Windows 10: Startup repair lost password help

My windows os on my PC broke, so it's trying to initiate selfrepair, but it wants a password that I don't have, I thought I could reset the password to my Microsoft account to get it changed, but i dont believe that it can see that I changed it online. Is there a way to scour through the files or something to find out what the PC's user account set password is?

I suggest you to perform the startup repair using the Windows 10 installation media from the below link and check if it helps.

Boot from the Windows 10 installation media and then perform automatic repair and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to perform Automatic repair:

  Insert installation media and restart the computer.
  
• 
  Select language and click on Next.
  
• 
  Select Repair your Computer and click on Skip this drive.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshoot and click on Advanced Options.
  
• 
  Here choose the option Automatic Repair and follow the prompted instructions.
  

Now if you are able to boot to the desktop then try resetting the password.

Lost My Administrator Password

To which "this" are you referring?
- If you are following the tutorial Bree suggested in the very first reply to your question then what you need to do at each step is explained in detail. So which step are you at?
- If you are following a different procedure then state what it is and which step you are at. If, for example, you are trying to manually enable the Built-In Admin as suggested in post #11 then that account has no password.
