Windows 10: Startup sound not changing on windows 111

Hello!I am trying to change the default windows startup sound but I cant! I made sure to follow every instruction changing registery, change the sound to my audio, click "apply", and restart but it still plays the default sound!

That would only turn on or off to play the startup sound.

Just to verify, did you use the method in the tutorial below to change the startup sound to a custom sound you wanted? It's the same method for Windows 11.

As per the previous posts I understand that you are referring to Startup sounds in Windows 10.

If so, I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

Make sure that your device speakers are working fine before performing the troubleshooting steps.

  Right click on the Volume icon on the Task bar.
  
• 
  Select Sounds option from the list.
  
• 
  Select Sounds tab.
  
• 
  Check mark on Play Windows Startup sound option.
  
• 
  Under Program Events: click on any option and under Sounds: select Windows Startup from the list.
  
• 
  Click on Browser button and select a
  Sound.
  
• 
  Try to restart the computer and check if it helps.

change it from the sound settings in control panel.

to do this, goto settings > sound > sound control panel

then, a windows will open and from it select SOUNDS. Then you will Find, play windows startup sound. You can ENABLE or DISABLE it
