Windows 10: Startup

Discus and support Startup in Windows 10 Performance & Maintenance to solve the problem; My computer is running slow and it's 5 years old and it's a i5 4690.     My computer is running slow and it's 5 years old and it's a i5 4690. I have 22 startup programs that are enabled and 6 that are disable. I don't know if these startup programs are making my computer slow and I don't know which ones to disable if that's the case or maybe I need a new and faster computer?

    Hi Luky,

    Thank you for posting your reply.

    I suggest you to perform a Startup Repair by following the steps below.

    • In the Lock screen, press/hold the shift key and click on power icon>restart.
    • Click on Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Startup Repair and follow the prompts to start the Startup Repair.
    After the Startup Repair is complete, check for the status.

    Adding programs to startup with Windows 7?

    You could add entries to the registry to launch the apps on startup, but it's easier to just add them to the startup foler as Newt suggested.
