Windows 10: Stated that new password & its' verifying 2nd do not MATCH" but YES THEY DO

In making a new password I'm 100%certain that with my last New PW just done, the 2 passwords original + verifying repeatTotally MATCHED, but the system claimed they WEREN'T matched?? It wsd in rt5 Did I try doing itoo much then got locked out?? Because that's all i can imagine... rPlease answer me,if possible, soon!Nina

How to create a new app password

To create a new app password for an app or device, take the following steps. You can repeat these steps to create an app password for as many apps or devices as you need.

1. Go to the Security basics page and sign in to your Microsoft account.
2. Select More security options.
3. Under App passwords, select Create a new app password. A new app password is generated and appears on your screen.

Ok, I got it working using last set of clearer instructions.

To which "this" are you referring?
- If you are following the tutorial Bree suggested in the very first reply to your question then what you need to do at each step is explained in detail. So which step are you at?
- If you are following a different procedure then state what it is and which step you are at. If, for example, you are trying to manually enable the Built-In Admin as suggested in post #11 then that account has no password.

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???
