Windows 10: Static Audio heard on laptop speaker/headphones

Hello, and hope everyone is having a nice day so far! Anyways, I need help. This issue started yesterday. When I plug in to hear music, in a few minutes, I start hearing static sound that is interfering with the music I’m listening to. I tried disabling, reinstalling, and enabling the audio drivers, but nothing worked. Can anyone please help me out with this? Thanks, and I appreciate it! And if anyone is wondering, the laptop uses Realtek Audio.

Static noises from audio on windows 10. Also headphones get confused for speakers.

My audio is making horrible static noises. I have tried reinstalling realtek hd audio drivers both manually and from the device manager, doesen't work. I have tried running the trobuleshooter and turning of audio enhancements, that didnt work either.

Switching to generic high definition audio fixes it most of the time, but not always, sometimes it still shows up.

Also the headphones and speakers are switched, if I plug in headphones they are not available as an audio option, however when they are not plugged in they are listed there. If using realtek, it will
rapidly switch beetween headphones and speakers, unless headphones are plugged in (in which case they are reacted to as speakers).

This
started to happen just a few days ago, it worked fine for a long time. I think this was due to an update, however it seems to stop working at random (for example yesterday reatek worked fine, but then it
completely randomly started making lound static in the middle of a video.

I recently got a new laptop. I was able to fix previous headphone audio issues. But the right speaker is very static. It is impossible to enjoy listening to anything by speaker.

Move audio to one side for speakers but not headphones

• Is your headphones getting detected in the Playback settings?
  
• Are you trying to play the audio on both Speakers and Headphones at the same time?
  

Ideally, if you have configured Sound settings to play on your left speakers, the same goes with the headphones. The sound starts playing only on the left side of your headphones according to the settings changed.

Meanwhile, we can try configuring the headphones and change the balance level in the sound settings and see if it works. Kindly check with the steps listed below and see if it helps.

Method : Run audio test for your headphones.

• Open Control Panel from the Start menu and click on
  Sound.
  
• In the Sound window, click on your
  Headphones and select Configure option at the bottom left.
  
• By running the test, check if both sides of your headphones are working fine.
  

If that doesn’t help, I would suggest you to check with the audio balance by following the steps listed below:

• Open Sound settings from
  Control Panel, and right click on the Headphones to open its
  Properties.
  
• Click on Levels tab and select
  Balance button. In the Balance window, you can use the slider to balance both left and right headphones equally.
