    Static noise after latest update


    I updated my windows 10 yesterday. Today when I opened my computer and plugged in my earbuds (yeah with a wire), I hear a loud static noise, when any audio is playing. I can hear the normal audio in the background. The earbuds are not flawed, i checked with other earbuds, same static noise. I also updated my drivers for audio, which did not help. I would be grateful for any help. thx

    Static Noise - Solved!


    This worked like a charm! Thanks!!! I have an older Dell Studio Laptop running windows 10. Audio had cut out completely and upon restarting twice, would get static or white noise any time audio would play. Did a search and found this forum post. Cannot thank you enough!

    I am using the Logitech G230 as a headset and before installing Windows 10 the sound was fine. But after installing Windows 10 my microphone makes alot of static noise. I tried my headset on a computer with Windows 7 again and the static noise dissapeared,
    but after going back to my own computer with Windows 10 the static noise came back. What can I do to fix this?
