Windows 10: Static or dissappearance of audio from other apps besides the speaker's audio during a call.

Every time I enter a call or a meeting using any communication app whether that be discord, zoom, or messenger messes with the audio of my other apps. The audio from other applications becomes weaker, more static, or is practically gone. Once I enter the call or meeting, the audio from the apps that use internet connection like a Youtube video or a game that I am playing starts showing the signs I stated. However, the audio from apps that do not use internet connection is fine like the music player whenever I am in calls. I have tried tinkering with my audio settings and my drivers are already

More info is needed. Where is the static coming from? Headset and what model? Speakers? from regular PC audio? HDMI audio?

 

Static noises from audio on windows 10. Also headphones get confused for speakers.

My audio is making horrible static noises. I have tried reinstalling realtek hd audio drivers both manually and from the device manager, doesen't work. I have tried running the trobuleshooter and turning of audio enhancements, that didnt work either.

Switching to generic high definition audio fixes it most of the time, but not always, sometimes it still shows up.

Also the headphones and speakers are switched, if I plug in headphones they are not available as an audio option, however when they are not plugged in they are listed there. If using realtek, it will
rapidly switch beetween headphones and speakers, unless headphones are plugged in (in which case they are reacted to as speakers).

This
started to happen just a few days ago, it worked fine for a long time. I think this was due to an update, however it seems to stop working at random (for example yesterday reatek worked fine, but then it
completely randomly started making lound static in the middle of a video.

Just tried it, I only saw the option for Communications Headphones instead of Speakers. But it still didn't work :c
