Windows 10: stdole2.tlb could not be opened

    stdole2.tlb could not be opened


    trying to install a program on a WIN10 laptop. I immediately get this error "The file C:\Windows\System32\stdole2.tlb could not be opened. Please check that your disk is not full and that you have access to the destination directory"

    I am administrator to this machine.

    Why does a Windows 10 update cause my Excel 2007 to produce 'stdole32.tlb' & when is the next Windows 10 update going to fix it? It is extremely annoying. Does no-one test these updates before they're installed?
