  2. If MS really wanted people to use their Azure service, they'd make it a lot easier to sign up to the free version that they supposedly supply to educational institutions.

After 4 hours of screwing around, the end result was 2 "free" Azure accounts that cannot be used for anything.
It's not possible to create anything without supplying a credit card number.

IMO, any free service that requires a credit card number is automatically suspect.

Even better, it's not possible to delete the accounts or contact support personnel.

    :)

  3. Is there going to be a 64Gb Lumia 930

    Hi ArtOC

I can agree that it seems odd in this day and age to not have an SD slot on a high end Lumia phone. But, there isn't anything this forum can do to help with this issue.

As far as I'm aware Microsoft would like us to make more use of their free cloud storage which I have no issue with. However, I'm fully appreciative of quite a few people who don't like (or trust) cloud storage, so a SD card slot is a must for those consumers.

All you can do then is wait to see what will be released in the near future or learn to manage with 32GB of storage plus your free cloud space.

    Windows 10 Edge Browser

    Oh dear!

I get a Microsoft partner email direct from Microsoft with a link to try the trusted cloud game. I click the link which opens a game to test your cloud skills Log in and what do you get?

The website says you are using Google Chrome and this is not compatible. Someone need to do a bit of testing if Edge gets detected as Chrome.

You have to supply a CC# for a free Amazon AWS account too. My highest bill for AWS has been about 75 cents in a month.

  6. Your free account costs 75 cents a month? *Biggrin

The Educational Institution accounts should only need:
    • A school code
    • A student code (e.g. MS student email account)
    • A semester code

The school should know how many students are enrolled in the subject and they could supply that info to MS.
MS could send a confirmation email to the school when students activate their account.
If anyone is signed up who isn't an official student, the school could report them to MS.

The process to get Visual Studio Enterprise was straightforward and problem free:
    • I downloaded the installer via TAFE's software portal
    • Applied online for the Product Key
    • Used it to install the software

Yes, you can sign up for an AWS account on the Free Tier for 12 months. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean absolutely everything Amazon AWS has to offer is free. Some things fall outside of the free tier. So I have made use of some services with my free account which aren't completely free. But my bill have been very small.
