Windows 10: Sticky Keys - Constantly turning itself on

I'm fed up with this. I did a google search and its not new, this is a real problem with windows 10. At least once a week sticky keys turns on overnight when the pc is not even in use. Then I lose a lot of time having to climb behind a machine to unplug and restart several times.


The options are all disabled in my control panel so I would love to know how the hell it keeps doing this, the stupid on screen keyboard beeping at me, my number lock is then disabled and the keys become like copy and paste or something.


hard caps is permanently locked on and I cannot even use the number keys.


I do a google search and I see many, many people having the same issues.


It is 6:40 am. I woke up and tried to log into my work and get some things done, that was 40 min ago. I lost 40 min to this sticky key nonsense. I want to know how to uninstall every aspect of ease of access.


It is ridiculous that something so minute can cause so many problems.

Sticky keys turning on after my computer sleeps

Sticky Keys is a Windows Ease of Access feature that makes it possible to use keyboard shortcuts or type capital letters without needing to press more than one key at once. Since the sticky keys still turning back on when the Shift key is pressed 5 times, you
can disable it by following the steps below:

• Press the Windows key.
• Type "Turn on easy access keys".
• Press the Enter key.
• Click Set up Sticky Keys.
• Uncheck Turn on Sticky Keys when SHIFT is pressed five times.
• Click Apply.

To turn off once enabled, just simply press 3 or more of the Sticky Keys (Ctrl, Alt, Shift, Windows Button) at the same time.

Press Windows key + R

Type: control

Hit Enter

Open Ease of Access Center → Make your keyboard easier to use.

Click “Set up Sticky Keys” (or press ALT+C).

If there is a check in the box labeled “Turn On Sticky Keys”, un-check it.

Un-check “Turn on Sticky Keys when SHIFT is pressed five times”.

Click the OK button to save your changes.

or

Go to:

C:\WINDOWS\System32 and rename sethc.exe

This should now be permanently disabled.

Sticky keys dialog box appears when you have press the Shift key five times continuously. It also lets you use the Shift, Ctrl, ALT, or Windows Logo keys by pressing one key at a time. You can set up Sticky Keys from the Ease of Access Center on the Control
Panel. Follow the steps below:

• Press the Shift key five times.
• Once the dialog box appear, click the Go to the Ease of Access Center to disable keyboard shortcut link.
  
• It will open the Set up Sticky Notes window in the Control Panel.
• Uncheck Turn on Sticky Keys when SHIFT is pressed five times option.
• You can also set the settings to your desired option.

After doing so, check if the same pop-up will appear while playing the game.
