Windows 10: Sticky Keys. With shift I never want them. I use shift all the time to write English.

A pop up box asking me if I want to turn on Sticky keys because I've hit shift 5 times has popped up hundreds, possibly thousands of times, interrupting work. I searched for how to get rid of the NOTIFICATION box, --- BUT very important. Not the keyboard Accessibly option its self in Keyboard settings. This means, the pop-up doesn't happen, but instead you are turning sticky keys on and off over and over every time you hit shift 5 times?!I see people who write code on a laptop want shift to be sticky. But, this is like accidentally leaving caps lock on, meaning everything you write is then ***

Both shift keys

Hello.
I have problem with Lenovo Idea Pad 100 laptop (OS: WIN10). After replacing HDD into SSD I faced a strange problem. Both Shifts of the keyboard doesn‘t work .
I have tried to:

• Check if sticky keys are off. They are off.
• Connect external keyboard via USB port. Shift keys on external keyboard works good.
• Check the keyboard on online tester which indicates pressed buttons. It can‘t indicate press of the shift
• Change several different input languages. The problem is on all of them.
• Reinstall keyboard driver
• Check if connection is OK. It is OK.
• Tried to run computer without screws (I have read in one forum that screws could touch the keyboard from the bottom and it wouldn‘t operate normal)

I believe that keyboard is not damaged because connector damage could cause just exact part of keyboard failure, while it is impossible to do physical damage for both shifts. Any solutions?

Hi,

Sticky keys dialog box appears when you have press the Shift key five times continuously. It also lets you use the Shift, Ctrl, ALT, or Windows Logo keys by pressing one key at a time. You can set up Sticky Keys from the Ease of Access Center on the Control
Panel. Follow the steps below:

• Press the Shift key five times.
• Once the dialog box appear, click the Go to the Ease of Access Center to disable keyboard shortcut link.
  
• It will open the Set up Sticky Notes window in the Control Panel.
• Uncheck Turn on Sticky Keys when SHIFT is pressed five times option.
• You can also set the settings to your desired option.

After doing so, check if the same pop-up will appear while playing the game.

Shift button stuck but sticky keys disabled

Hello,
I have a weird problem where the shift is sort of "stucked" and I have to click it once to release it.
Changed keyboard - didn't help, checked if sticky keys are on (not)

What else could cause this?
