Windows 10: Sticky Notes v3.0.118.0 Crashes

I'd like to use Sticky Notes on my new Surface Studio. But the app keeps crashing. I've even tried Reset and uninstall/reinstall. It will work for a brief period and then I find the next time I open it the app will crash.


I have no idea what else to check. The only relevant setting which I've also turned off is "Insights."


I do not have it synced to other devices. I only like to keep 2-3 sticky notes and generally the app is closed until I need it.

Windows app troubleshooter for this issue. Meanwhile, we also recommend that you reset your Sticky Notes app by following the steps below:

• Click the Windows icon and click Settings.
• Click System, and then click Apps & features on the left menu.
• Click on Sticky Notes on the list found on your right menu, click
  Advanced options link, and click the Reset button.
• Click the Reset button again when you see the confirmation dialog to reset Sticky Notes app.
• Close the Settings window and check your Sticky Notes app.

• Have you tried checking the Settings?

Sticky Notes 2.0.5.0 cpu usage 100%

I had the same problem with ridiculous CPU usage. I closed off sticky notes and removed it from my taskbar. Then I relaunched, repinned to taskbar, checked task manager, and it had gone down to 0.

If that doesn't work , here are 3 options:

• Use the sticky notes in chrome web store
• Choose another sticky notes app from the windows store
• Create a to-do list document and put it in the middle of your desktop screen
