  1. Still can't use keyboard and trackpad simultaneously after disabling palmcheck

I'm trying to play minecraft on my Hp laptop running Windows 10 and noticed that while I was moving with wasd I could not use my trackpad to move my camera however if I plugged in a mouse it worked no bother So I disabled palmcheck using the registry editor and restarted my laptop many times. However, I still can not move my trackpad while pressing any letter keys. I have been trying to fix this all day and to no avail so I would greatly thankful if you could help me figure out what might be wrong here. Thank you.

    :)

Can't use trackpad while typing (NOT a trackpad sensitivity problem)

For the longest time, ever since I upgraded to Windows 10 years ago, I haven't been able to use my trackpad while typing. In the past, this was fixed by having your trackpad's sensitivity settings set to max/high while having PalmCheck/PalmTracking set to
minimum/low. Since the upgrade to Windows 10, this no longer fixes the issue, and even with those settings I cannot use my keyboard and mouse simultaneously. This is particularly frustrating when I am playing games on my PC as often times I need to use both
    simultaneously, but cannot.

I'd like to reiterate that this is NOT a sensitivity/PalmCheck issue. Please do NOT refer me to those settings as they are where they need to be. Furthermore, my drivers are up-to-date and I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times.

Also, my trackpad is ELAN and NOT Synaptics, so please be aware that any settings changed to Synaptics may or may not have mirrored settings on ELAN.

  3. Disable Keyboard and Trackpad in Tablet Mode

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Let us try the following steps, and check if it helps.

    Step 1:

    • Press Windows key + X, and select
      Device Manager.

    • Find Keyboards in the list of devices and
click the arrow to expand it.

    • Right-click on the internal keyboard and click
      Disable
      .

    • If there is no Disable option listed, click
      Uninstall
      .

    • Click File>Exit. Your laptop’s internal keyboard should now be disabled.

Note: If you had to choose Uninstall instead of Disable in step 4, the keyboard will be automatically detected and re-installed if you ever have the Device Manager scan for new hardware for some reason. If
that happens you’ll need to repeat this procedure in order to uninstall it again.

    Step 2:

    • Press Windows key + X, and select
      Device Manager.

    • Click to expand Mice and other pointing devices.

    • Right click the touchpad and click Disable.

    Hope it helps.

Let us know if you have any further query on Windows, we are glad to assist you further.

Disable Keyboard and Trackpad in Tablet Mode

    Hi,

I just upgraded to Windows 10 and I had a question about the tablet mode feature. I have a 2-in-1 convertible laptop, but when folding it into tablet mode the keyboard and trackpad are only disabled when the laptop is fully folded.

I don't know why it is set up this way as it would make more sense to disable the trackpad and keyboard once the screen is past 180 degrees.

I noticed the tablet mode activates once the laptop is past 180 degrees so is there anyway to set the keyboard and trackpad to automatically disable when Windows 10 is in tablet mode?

    Thanks!
