Windows 10: Still Unable to Boot PC from CD/DVD for Windows 10 Reset

Hello,I am currently trying to perform a reset of my Windows 10 install on a Dell desktop computer. I can access the BIOS via keyboard shortcuts, but when I get to the screen & tab to change the boot order, I can't find the option for CD/Disk nor the option to rebook from USB.I have attached screenshots of my current boot settings in BIOS. Can someone help me add or find the setting to reboot from the CD/disk? I recently purchased a bootable disk from NewEgg and hoping I can prevent spending money going to a PC repair shop.Please let me know your thoughts or if I simply need to go to a

• When you say, “how do I open the cd/dvd disk drive on the back” are you not able to open the drive to enter a disk or trying to replace the drive?
  
• What is the exact model number of the HP Envy PC that you are using? To check type:
  msinfo32 in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

If the CD/DVD drive is not getting detected on the computer, I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the HP article

If you are unable to burn CD/DVD using the drive, I suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the HP article

CD/DVD not being recognized on PC

I understand that you are facing issues with using CD/DVD drive on your PC. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below:

1. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?
   
2. Have you tried using the CD’s/DVD’s on any other PC?
   
3. Does the issue occurs with specific discs or all the discs?
   

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to refer the article
Optical Disk Drive is unable to read/recognize a disc by Dell and see if that helps.



Note: Please don’t follow the suggestions in Step 10.

Windows 10 doesn't play my CDs or DVDs

• What happens when you try to play CD/DVD?

I would suggest you to try the steps below and check.

Step 1: Run the troubleshooter

Type troubleshooting in search bar and click it

Click Hardware and Sound and then click Windows Media Player DVD

Follow the instructions

Step 2: Place the computer in clean boot state and check.

To help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot." A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.



Placing your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot.

Note:
Refer "How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting" to reset the computer to start as normal after troubleshooting.
