    Stolen Laptop- Question about PIN login attempts, Remotely Locking


    Hi everyone,I had my laptop stolen last week I have Windows 10. It was password protected with a PIN that must be entered when you turn on the computer. Just had a few questions to make sure I'm securing it correctly. I have reported it stolen to the police, and am in the process of getting it reported stolen to Dell I bought it off of Amazon, so I first have to get it transferred into my name.1 Is there a way to see if the thief attempted to login to my laptop? When I view the "Sign-in Activity" log, I don't see any suspicious sign-ins only a login from my laptop the day before it w

    Sounds like you are the recipient of stolen goods. All of our work laptops have this feature where it locks the BIOS and hard disk remotely if stolen, misplaced, or after a certain number of failed access attempts to the data on the disk without the TPM key.

    I would suggest returning it to wherever you bought or got it.

    Laptop stolen, can I lock remotely?

    Good morning,

    My work bag and laptop with sensitive information on it was stolen last night.

    Can I log into my account and remotely lock/erase that laptop?

    Appreciate the help. I think the answer is no but maybe I get some good news today.

    Emergency! Stolen Windows 10 laptop...can I remotely lock/wipe?

    My brothers 10 year old laptop had Windows 10 installed. Was stolen last night. Can I remotely lock and/or wipe in case the thieves connect to the internet. The Laptop is not locked and is auto sign-in.
