Windows 10: stolen laptop

Discus and support stolen laptop in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; yes i dont know if they took the hard drive out or if the reset it to factory setting but it was dead for sure so they would have to unlock my account...     yes i dont know if they took the hard drive out or if the reset it to factory setting but it was dead for sure so they would have to unlock my account but the issue reamains about the hard drive swap... i have the orgibal box that it came in and the serial number of the laptop its self... was hoping microsoft could help me track it through the serial number .... thats something that microsft collects and i was thinking if they did do a hard drive sway they couldnt swap the serial number right...
