Windows 10: Stop Code PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED can't boot to safemode...

My PC began giving me this stop code out of nowhere. I had not installed any hardware or software in months, I use this PC daily and it's completely up to date. I cannot preform startup repair, nor can I boot into safemode I am presented with the same stop code. I cannot uninstall any updates I'm given the error "we ran into a problem and won't be able to uninstall the latest quality update of Windows.". One thing to note is that before this happened, the first time I booted, it successfully booted to my desktop but windows explorer repeatedly crashed over and over. I had to use task manag

Networking in Safemode

I tried uninstalling and re-installing the adapter and it didn't work. I tried another suggestion I found doing a search. They suggested to click on the Network Icon before booting in to Safemode and connecting to the adapter. The only thing listed was Airplane mode. I guess Windows 10 will not initialize a wireless adapter in Safemode.

Thanks everyone for trying to help. I have tried all the suggestions posted. When I try to access the wireless adapter before booting in to Safemode the only thing listed is Airplane mode. I'm guessing either Asus or MS doesn't want me to use wireless networking in Safemode.

 

process1_initialization_failed windows 10 pro

I keep getting a "process1_initialization_failed" error on windows 10. I have tried removing/renaming the bootcat.cache, I tried a recovery drive created from another computer to to repair however after it asks me what keyboard I have the computer boots
back into the error screen. I have also disabled secure boot as I saw suggested. I have been unable to start in safemode as well. I would rather not reformat my laptop since that seems a bit extreme but I'm running out of ideas.

No recent updates or hardware changes. Reverting to previous restore points has failed as well.
