    Stop Code: Unmountable_boot_volume, boot loop, need fix.


    My laptop is stuck in a boot loop, I keep getting a blue screen and it has a stop code, the stop code is Unmountable_boot_volume. How do I fix this please without losing all of my data.

    So, I have a hp laptop. Series : HP 15s-eq2143au. OS is Windows 11 Home. Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 5300U. Ram: 8GB

    Storage 256 GB. I listed everything i know about it. So, at morning i opened laptop and decided to connect to my phone's personal hotspot then the wifi icon on laptop was not showing this happens a lot i tried to troubleshoot by restarting then a blue screen appears and says

    Stop Code: Unmountable_boot_volume, boot loop, need fix. :(

    Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart.

    We'll restart for you.

    (Displays a qr code) For more information about this issue and possible fixes, visit https://www.windows.com/stopcode

    If you call a support person give them this info: Stop code: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

    And it shuts down after showing this for a couple of seconds then again starts and shows this screen it repeats this.

    Attempting to fix UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

    So my HDD got stuck in UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME BSOD loop, and I created a recovery USB with my expansion drive and I'm currently in common prompt. Running "WMIC logicaldisk get caption,description,drivetype,providername,volumename"
    doesn't seem to return my hardrive, but here's what it does say:

    Caption Description DriveType ProviderName VolumeName

    C: Local Fixed Disk 3 / ESD-USB

    D: CD-ROM 5 / /

    X: Local Fixed Disk 3 / Boot

    Running diskpart and LIST DISK returns:

    Disk 0 Online 0 B 0 B

    Disk 1 Online 931GB 899GB

    I assume Disk 1 is the expansion drive because it is 1TB and my HDD in my PC is 1.5TB.
    Booting into the BIOS menu still lists my HDD in the boot order by it's Model Number, so it still seems to be at least semi recognizable. Is there anything I can do to at least recover my files from this HDD, as
    I have a new one on the way regardless.
