Windows 10: Stop Cortana from popping up

Discus and support Stop Cortana from popping up in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Cortana constantly pops up without being prompted.     Stop Cortana from popping up


    Cortana constantly pops up without being prompted. Even when I just want to click on an app in the taskbar to bring it into focus. My habit of browsing is to use one finger to move the mouse on the touchpad and one finger resting on the left click button. I've gone into my touchpad settings and disabled every setting for 2, 3 and 4 finger actions. I've tried literally every thing I can find online to stop Cortana from popping up to no avail.

    In reality I will never use Cortana so if there is a way to totally disable it I am fine with that...even if it is a registry change. I'm about to throw our new laptop in the trash.

    NO MATTER WHAT I TRY, I CAN'T STOP THE CORTANA POP UP. IT IS OBVIOUS THAT MICROSOFT PREVENTS CORTANA POP UP FROM BEING TURNED OFF. ANY SUGGESTIONS ? I NO LONGER RECCOMMEND WIN10 DUE TO THE CONSTANT POP UP. HAS ANYONE BEEN ABLE TO TURN THEIRS OFF ?
