Windows 10: Stop Documents Folder from Reappearing in OneDrive

An issue that is driving me nuts: I do not want the Documents folder to appear in my OneDrive. I keep removing it and it keeps coming back. This issue started out of nowhere a few months ago, and I solved it by going to OneDrive settings>account>choose folders and from here I removed the checkbox by Documents. Now the problem is back. When I try to resolve it the same way, it only lasts for a few minutes before the folder returns, and when I go into settings, the checkbox next to Documents is checked again though I have not changed the setting myself. I don't need the Documents folder in OneDrive but when I delete it, it keeps reappearing at a later time in the day.

Is there a way to stop this happening?

Folders keep reappearing


The script "64-bit_Remove_All_user_Folders_in_This_PC.reg" has a major bug. The linked folders keep reappearing under This PC. This is what happens:

1. Quick Access and This PC both contain the Documents folder
2. The "64-bit_Remove_All_user_Folders_in_This_PC.reg" script is applied
3. The linked folders disappear from This PC. Everything is fine.
4. I click the Documents folder under Quick Access, then double click a documents sub folder on the right panel.
5. The Documents folder reappears under This PC.

The idea of my setup is to have all common folders pinned under Quick Access, and none under This PC to avoid any duplicates. Is there any way to fix this?
