Windows 10: stop ms store install or dl program for offline install

I used to use an image resize program from ms power tolos on old work laptop. They have deployed new win10 laptops at work and i went looking for the program. I found a windows10 image resize but it installs from the ms sw store, which our corporate it has blocked. But now i get an alert every day saying it could not install and will try again later. I have been told by it they will not allow MS store access, so my question is can i dl an install file at home and get the .exe for offline install, or how do i stop the stupid alerts.

Google Chrome Offline Installer

OK, so I've just wasted a lot of time trying to download the offline installer for Chrome that also gives me all users installed into \programs\ and not into single user installed under user\documents.... I also want it in English. If you aren't careful the chrome page tries to FORCE a local installer language based on your current location. I hate that *Wink

Once installed, remember to edit your shortcut, as follows:

"C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disk-cache-dir=z:\ where "z" is the directory or drive for your scratch file (cache). I put that in a ramdisk. Lightning fast and avoids write-wear/write-trashing of your SSD.

 

Steam does not install from disk?!?!

no you're doing steps 1 and 2 wrong. steam creates the directory, you stop steam and then you install the game from the disk to that directory.

also steam must be off, not in offline mode but off, aka no steam services in the task manager when you install the game.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
