Windows 10: STOP UPDATING INTEL GPU DRIVERS TO OLD VERSION!

BUG REPORT.Windows Update FORCES to update Intel gpu drivers to old version. This problem is known FOR YEARS.Let me google it for you:https://www.google.pl/search?q=windows+update+forces+intel+driversStop giving users BAD ADVICES. Just stop. There is no solution other than on Microsoft side to fix the DAMN WINDOWS UPDATE!Please report this as a bug. A bug is something you, as MICROSOFT DONE WRONG and it means to be FIXED.Solution is simple - Windows Update SHOULD NOT install Intel drivers with version older than already installed.Developers should finally take responsibility for their actions.

according to laptop support page they do list an old downloadable driver for intel for windows 7 , weather this is related to there being several variants of that laptop or this laptop has switchable graphics i may just suggest you reset the bios and see if things change , if yes you may be able to apply step 2 , if not then apply step 4 and call it today , you are still better off being on the high performance gpu .

Out of curiosity can you take a snap shot from Settings > System > Display. Scroll down and click the “Graphics Settings” ?

 

Asus laptop drop fps whenever there's Intel driver update

[Fixed] I figured out how to "properly" update my Chipset Intel Driver by following theses steps:

1. Download latest version of Chipset Intel Driver from manufacture site Asus: X556UQ - Support
   
2. Install the downloaded driver.
   
3. Open device manager.
   
4. Search for 4 chipset "intel" driver and click "check for update".
   

 

WIndows update removes recent driver from intel/laptop manufacturer and installs old version

Hello.

I would like to stop this behavior from microsoft.

I have an asus x556ub with an integrated graphic card intel hd520.

I install asus driver from asus, the manufacturer of this laptop, and windows update removes it and install an older version.

If i try to install the driver from intel, a even recent driver, windows update also removes and install an old intel driver.

Why does windows update think it's old driver it's better that the new drivers provided by my manufacturer or intel?
