Windows 10: Stop USB drives to show two times in explorer pane?

Hello, i can't find a tutorial for this : How do i stop 10 from adding any USB removable drives (a second time, since they're always show in MyPC which i have expended)? Hope it's possible.. Thanks!

Two USB (F drives windows Explorer

On the Left pane of Windows Explorer I show two USB (F Drives they all have the same info. How can I fix and to have only one USB Drive left in Windows explorer. Thank you.

The (F Drives are in the Column where the Quick Access/C: drive are.

I'm running an early pre-release of Win 10 Creators (build16184.rs_prerelease.170424-2211) and recently installed a new USB 3.0 hub. there are seven ports, two of which are connected to drives. One is a thumb drive and the other is a backup drive. The
new hub replaces an old USB 2.0 hub that was showing sings of the connectors wearing tot he point of being intermittent. The new hub is very fast, but there is a problem, as every few minutes, pop-up File Explorer windows appear for each of the two drives.
I can't figure out how to stop this. Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure why you're pointing at this? I clearly mentionned "two times" so if you didn't notice, when you have a removable usb drive plugged in, an entry for it appear below the "this pc" ones..

This is the same screen after running the registry update in @Brink's tutorial in post #2 and the repeated USB drive has gone and is only shown once under "This PC"





If you mean something else perhaps you could upload a picture to explain.

That's why I pointed to the tutorial. Use the option to disable drives showing in the navigation pane, and only the separate duplicate group for drives will no longer show in your navigation pane. It will only show once under "This PC". *Smile

 

Always possible the OP meant something else and it was lost in translation.
