Windows 10: stop Windows 10 from suspending Java Platform SE binary

Situation:
When running Minecraft Java edition from the launcher all is well.
But when running either the server executable or a dev build through Intellij
Windows decides to suspend the task every time input it given to the application.
e.g. you click singleplayer; the task is suspended for a few seconds, then resumes and
executes the requested action. note: it also happens when just clicking in the

application window, it doesn't have to be a button of some sort.

Reproduce:
Server: download Minecraft server file from official site, perform setup as required
extract, run, accept EULA, run again now whenever you click in the server UI
window the task gets suspended for a few seconds.

Dev: Download Forge MDK from official site, extract and preform setup as
described in readme file, open in your IDE of choice and run dev client.
Whenever you click in the game window windows will suspend the task
for a few seconds.

Question:
How do I stop windows from doing this, I don't mind the solution being system wide.

Additional info:
Only tested using Jetbrains' IDE, but as the issue occurs with the server executable
I expect Eclipse and other IDEs will suffer the same problem.


I have tried disabling antivirus and creating exceptions in windows security,
these do not resolve the issue.

Power mode is set to "Ultimate performance" and I'm using a Desktop.
Any other applications with power settings e.g. NVidia are set to
their max performance setting as well.

In task manager the task status shows "suspended" followed by a green leaf,
indicating power saving which should be turned off.


I've found multiple threads describing the same or similar issues on various sites
Including the windows community and as of yet none of them have worked for me.
Quite disappointed this still seems to be an issue after some year old posts reporting
this, please prove me wrong.

Optifine/Java Platform SE Binary

Hello I have been trying to run optifine using java platform se binary and it won't work, it says there are errors in the following switches, someone please help.

Three things I saw on Web.

Update video drivers. How this is connected I did not research. Of course with all driver update it is good to have restore point and a copy of existing driver. Your card isn't being supported going forward by AMD has released some drivers.

Next was to clear Java cache. Control Panel, Programs, click on Java. On general tab there is a "Settings" button, click, then click Delete Files.

Last this was to run in Compatibility mode. Right click exe, Properties, Compatibility Tab, set to Windows 8. At bottom of page there is an option "Change for all Users", set there as well.

Additionally there is this Minecraft forum and it is full of this error.

hay guys I need help on a java issue. ever since I downloaded mp3 rocket ive incounted a java tm se binary has stopped working ive tried trouble shooting steps and ive even tried to remove and install the program and stays the same plus ive even tried to
contact java support no respond or it costs money ive enen looked on youtube still no change so if anyone can help I would be very happy
