Windows 10: Stop windows 10 update permanently

We are facing one issue with window 10 PC in the field. When we connect internet with the PC the system automatically gets into window update mode & if someone shutdown the system in between this process he window gets corrupt. Please look into the matter & provide some solution.



We have tried several methods available on internet, but after some days the updated get automatically restart.

That doesn't stop windows update from grabbing them on next run, at least it didn't back in the RTM days. It simply stops a secondary process from installing them immediately.

• Right click "My Computer"
• Click "Properties"
• Click on "Hardware" tab
• Click "Device Installation Settings"
• Tick the "No, let me choose what to do"
• Tick "Never install driver software from Windows Update"
